HAILEY MORGAN Biography
Hailey Morgan has been on stage singing and performing since the age of three. She has a beautiful warm voice that is very mature for her age. Hailey Morgan is able to emote expression and feeling into her songs and mesmerize an audience with her talent and performance.
Hailey Morgan is her stage name. Her given name is Hailey Morgan Wiebe. The name Hailey, both her parents came up with when her dad was working out of town but Morgan came from the glamorous actress Morgan Fairchild.
Hailey Morgan’s sound can be likened to a mix of Kelly Clarkson and Sarah McLachlan. She has Kelly’s strength and vocal range with Sarah’s airiness and ease of melody. An early influence on Hailey Morgan’s vocals and music was the rock group Evanescence specifically lead singer Amy Lee’s powerful and angelic voice.
Hailey Morgan has performed at numerous shows, festivals, fundraisers, contests, community events, songwriter’s showcases and coffee houses. Hailey Morgan won the Youth Talent Search at the Abbotsford Agrifair, was selected as a finalist at the Star Discovery Talent Search at the PNE and wowed audiences at the West Coast Singer/Songwriter Competition where she was chosen as a finalist from among 120 adult competitors.
In 2005, Hailey Morgan performed on the Norwegian Cruise Lines in front of 200 guests and 3 judges. She won “Twisted Karaoke” a competition against adult contestants where the contestant chose 1 song and then a surprise song was chosen for the contestants by the judges. Hailey Morgan got 3 standing ovations and an encore before the night was through. She sang Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive and Celine Dion’s My heart Will Go On.
Hailey Morgan loves singing, acting, dancing and music. She studies singing and takes RCM piano exams. Hailey Morgan is a singer/songwriter writing both her own music and lyrics. Hailey Morgan is able to harmonize with ease and is inspired by many female singer/songwriters including Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch, Stacie Orrico and Mariah Carey to name a few.
Hailey Morgan starred in the indie short film “L’Oiseau Mort” which was selected as an official entry into the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2006.
Hailey Morgan ’s anticipated independent debut album 'You & Me' was released on July 28th, and will be available on itunes and Cd Baby in the next couple weeks.
Hailey Morgan has high hopes for a career as a recording artist. She is a driven individual who along with determination and professionalism will no doubt go far.
